Poverty has debilitating affects on learning, and Tulsa Public Schools has the highest amount of poverty in all of Tulsa County. The Mission of This Is Us is to fight for these students to not only stay in school but to flourish in school and athletic activities by feeding their hearts and soul and meeting some of their basic needs while showing the love of Jesus.
How to be a part of growing community
We all have different talents, resources and seasons. What’s awesome about community and the way God created it to be - it takes the combination of all of these working together. We need meals, people to help serve meals, uniforms, drinks, snacks, school supplies and financial donations to continue serving the hundreds of kids in need at the schools of North Tulsa.
BRING A GROUP
There are soooooo many ways to get involved! We regularly have groups from churches and local companies come together and serve a meal, pack food bags or cheer on the athletic teams of our kids.
